Individual Consultations
Dear students,
The Academic Writing Center offers one-on-one consultations via Zoom or in person in Room S 1.14 (Sammelgeb?ude, 1st floor).
Please register for your individual consultation using the form provided. First, select the language of your writing project - English or German. Then choose an appointment.
If you have booked an in-person consultation in Room S 1.14, please come directly to your scheduled session. If you have booked an online consultation, you will receive the Zoom link via the email address you provided.

Tutoring Program for Academic Writing (iSTEPS)
The academic writing style and structure of German and English scholarly texts often differ significantly from those in your home country. To support you in writing seminar papers or theses, specially trained writing tutors from the Academic Writing Center are here to help!
If you would like to work with a writing tutor, simply book a one-on-one consultation that fits your schedule (form one this website → Individual Consultations. Alternatively, contact the writing consultant Dr. Christine Braun via email: schreibberatung.zsk@ur.de. She will be happy to assist you.
Choose between online sessions via Zoom or in-person consultations at the Writing Center (Sammelgeb?ude, 1st floor, room S 1.14). You are welcome to visit us as often as you need assistance with academic writing.

Moreover: Academic English learning app for students
Moreover is a language learning app for advanced academic English. All students at the University of Regensburg are provided with the lite version of the app "Moreover" free of charge.
Moreover was developed specifically for students to expand their academic vocabulary. With Moreover, students acquire a more sophisticated ability to express themselves eloquently when writing academic texts and giving presentations in English. The Moreover app is available for download from the Google Play Store and the App Store.
IMPORTANT: To use the free lite version, users must first register within the app using their free University of Regensburg email address. Usually, users will receive an email from Moreover immediately after creating a new account, but in exceptional cases this can take up to 48 hours. After confirming the email address, users can log in to the app and use the lite version of Moreover. Through the lite version, members of the University of Regensburg are granted free access to the app's content on a larger scale. The email addresses will be used internally for the sole purpose of registration and will not be shared or used for any other purpose.
