The Department of Interdisciplinary and Multiscalar Area Studies aims to promote cooperation between different institutions, projects and researchers in the field of inter- and transdisciplinary area studies in Regensburg. With six professorships and a dedicated and diverse team of academic staff, DIMAS aims to redefine area studies as a subject with multiscalar perspectives and methodologies and an interdisciplinary perspective.

Your tasks:
- Coordination and Administration of collaborative research in the field of Gender Studies, Media Studies and Critical Health Studies
- Development of a cross-faculty, transdisciplinary network in the field of women's health, media and knowledge transfer
- Publication and presentation of research results in relevant national and international publications and at conferences
- Strengthening and visualising the international research profile of the university in this cross-sectional area
Your profile:
- Completed academic university degree and doctorate in one or more subject areas relevant to the position
- Relevant experience in the areas of gender studies and university gender equality work
- Sound knowledge of gender studies as well as media and discourse analysis
- Proven ability to quickly familiarise yourself with interdisciplinary issues and research methods and to work in transdisciplinary groups
- Stylistically confident oral and written expression in German and English. Further business fluent foreign language skills are also desirable
- Leadership qualities, independence, ability to work in a team and organisational talent as well as the ability to plan, implement and complete projects in a goal-oriented manner
